Son los pájaros más pequeños del mundo, pero son aves aunque con algunas propiedades de insectos: su tamaño, su modo de alimentación del néctar de las flores, su modo de moverse... En el siglo XIX se les cazaba para decorar los sombreros de las señoras, así se extinguieron varias de sus especies.
They are the smallest birds in the world, but they are nonetheless birds although with some insect features: their small size, the way they feed on the nectar of flowers, the way they move... In the nineteenth century they were hunted down to garnish ladies' hats and several species were extinguished.

Son una especie de coníferas que alcanzan las mayores alturas de entre los árboles del mundo y consiguen la mayor longevidad conociéndose ejemplares de tres mil trescientos años o más de 115 metros de altura.
They are a species of conifers who reach the greatest heights among the trees of the world and obtain the greatest longevity with some esamples as old as 3300 years old with more than 115 meters in height.
